Our Father desires for us to seek him.
Seeking God is:
…calling upon him in prayer
…meditating upon him in worship
…hearing him from his word
…listening for him with your heart.
When you seek God, amazing things will happen. God will deliver you from your fears when seek him.
“I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears” (Psalms 34:4).
God will bring you out of captivity when call upon him and search for him.
“Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the LORD, “and will bring you back from captivity” (Jer. 29:12-14a).
As this week approaches, let me encourage you to seek the Lord. Seek him with all your heart. Take to time to read his word, pray and listen with your heart. Then, you will hear his still, small voice guiding you and leading you to freedom.
Prayer: Father, help me seek you this week with all of my heart. Help me find time in my busy schedule to pursue you and seek you. Help me hear your still small voice, your tender wooing. The Bible promises that if I draw near to you, then you will draw near to me (James 4:8).
