I want to take a moment to share a bit about Season of Peace. I want to be clear about what this site does and its purpose, disclosing the structure, finances and organization of this website.
In 1996, I started sending out weekly email messages to a small group of people. Shortly after that, I setup a website at season.org, and started sharing my story online. Over the years, it grew to where Season of Peace is today. With the growth of social media and other networks, our website traffic continues to grow, receiving a few hundred hits a day.
This website was birthed out of my experience with fear, anxiety and panic attacks. You can read my story here. My desire is to share my story and the story of others to encourage those struggling, and to communicate that freedom is possible. To that end, I want to provide free and paid resources to those looking for help. I found help through a variety of mediums like books, videos, counseling and other sources.
My greatest desire is “to comfort those with the comfort God has comforted me with” (2 Corinthians 1:4).
Initially, Season of Peace was initially funded by me, personally. Years ago, I setup a 501c3 non-profit organization for people to donate to this ministry. And, for a few years, people did. They also purchased my devotional.
Today, the 501c3 has been dissolved and it’s back to me being fully responsible for the website. All of the hosting, design, writing and other details are managed by me and self-funded. And, I do it gladly! I love having this place where I can share and encourage others.
To help offset some of the costs, I’ve included a couple of areas on the website that can generate income: Bookstore (Amazon Affiliate Program) and Click Bank (Affiliate Programs).
All of the books I recommend in the Bookstore are affiliate based. A small percentage of the book sales go back into Season of Peace.
The “Paid Programs” listed on the website are affilate programs where a percentage of the sales go back into Season of Peace. I will tell you that I have not completely reviewed all of the programs, and I’m not completely sure the content aligns with my view of freedom. I would love to hear some feedback if you have worked through any of these programs. I will gladly remove anything that conflicts with my faith and views of freedom. And, if you know of any other programs, please let me know.
I feel that my experience and my walk into freedom has been a gift from God, and I want to share my story. I also want to provide resources and help to those in need. All of the articles and posts on the website is free of charge. As this site continues to change over time, as it has done the past 15 years, I will continue to make changes as needed.
